Use Audacity to record your podcast.
Edit backgound noises and flubs from the podcast.
Create/Use a Period folder on your desktop for a place to save your podcast.
------------------ ----------------------- ----------------------- ------------------------ --------------------- ------------------ HOW TO SAVE YOUR PODCAST: If you are not finished with the podcast but must save it:
You will save your podcast to your Period folder on the desktop. Name your file: last name_Podcast title
If you are finished and have made all the edits necessary:
You will save your podcast to your Period folder on the desktop. Name your file: first initial last name Interview Podcast
Open the Audacity Project file found in your folder on the desktop.
File>Export>
Be sure your extension says, "mp3" and send this file to the desktop folder, Period
You will be asked to insert information about your podcast in a box. You will complete three areas. Your name (first and last), the title of the podcast, and the year (2012).
Are you ready to put your Podcast on your Google Site??
1. Login to your Google account.
2. Select Site and open it. Locate and open your file. Edit. Change the HOME label to My E-Portfolio.
3. You will need to create a page for your PBL tasks. See the Create a Page button on the top, right corner.
4. You will see two radio buttons asking where to place the page. Place the file under HOME/My E-Portfolio.
5. Name the new page: Ancient Greek Museum;
6. When the page opens, it should be under the HOME page in the sidebar.
7. Let's add the podcast! At the bottom of the page, select ATTACHMENT
8. Select Browse. Locate and select your file in your folder on the desktop.
9. The file will attach to the page.
10. When the file has been attached, you need to open it and be sure it works. Download the file.
11. iTunes should open with your mp3 file ready to play.
